A Vampire Sleep

by Silver Bells   Nov 25, 2007

Drifting off to sleep
As the night wraps me in shadows
Pressing in
Close and comforting

And then you came

Whisking me away to a land of nevers

Never to come back
Never to feel the warmth of the sun
Never to really live life again

But that doesn't matter
Because now I have you
And during the day
While the heat scorches and I hide
I think of you.

And during the night
You teach me to love.
To love forever

I like this poem because it shows how final the whole becoming a vampire is... when you become a vampire you lose everything that once was normal, but in return you gain imortaily
