I Could Be An Accident But I'm Still Trying

by The Queen of Spades   Nov 26, 2007

A claustrophobic room full of ropes
Tying across my face, my hands
My body is peeling inside out
I'm unraveling like violet sands.

Mistakes, my dear, are my forte
So please do not ever forget
You think the sun really shines so bright
When the earth can get that wet.

Parading around my insecurities
Tears stain like blood on dirty rags
I hold on to my deformities
Like a poor girl holding all her price tags.

Mother said that I could sure do better
But I couldn't hear over all my crying
Befuddlement, I promise, is a real word
I could be an accident but I'm still trying.

I've been feeling like an accident for the longest time...

But, as time carries on I've seem to have been snapping out of it ^_^ I figure that the more I do for those around me, the more content I'll feel for my existance ^_^

Thank you for this piece and the self reflection ^_^ 5/5

That was my favorite stanza, you really know how to put the emotion on the poem. This is well written and your rhyming was great. You deserve 5/5 for this!!!

Geeze, your work just flows so naturally. Wow. Lol. But great job with this one. The wording added extra emotion and really gave the whole poem an extra something. Again, I love the title. Great job!
