A Fire Inside

by Beautiful Chaos   Nov 26, 2007

An explosion,
A fierce heat envelops my body,
My blood is surging,
Pounding through my head.

I must do this,
Every little piece of me,
Screaming,
I can do this.

What if my mind falters?
It has before,
No,
I mustn't recall,
I must go on.

Pain?
I have felt pain,
I feel pain,
I have tasted pain.

Oh so bitter,
But the rewards?
Oh, they have been sweet,
I will go on.

Death?
I have called for death,
Weak in my regard,
I still live on.

Though I may fall,
And I will fall,
I will keep my eye and my will,
Fixed.

Success and happiness,
It is not given,
We must earn every drop,
Make sacrifices.

Look inside,
Find your fire,
Fuel your desire,
Carry on.
