Lay on the floor

by Nolaaa   Nov 26, 2007

Lay on the floor, don't you dare move
You've done this before, but now you won't get up
The adrenaline shot in your heart didn't go Through
I never asked you to do this, but its seems to be
That for you this wasn't meant for me.

You said you'd try to help me
Well you failed miserably
If you wanted to you could have left
You always said you would

Then one day you disappeared
Left without a trace
I saw your face in the paper
Next to it said, "gone to a better place"

I never thought it'd come to this,
Never thought it would end
You never said goodbye
You just left
My love for you was strong,
But your will to leave stronger
I wish that you'd come back
I wish that you'd stay longer

The next day I stayed in bed
The next week I stayed in bed
The next month I stayed in bed
Soon you'll find me in the obituary
Of your weekly paper
And never again will this face be seen
