Bundle Of Love (Collab)

by ABake   Nov 26, 2007

A light breeze awoke me from a gentle sleep.
Rubbing my fatigued eyes,
I saw a blurred object in the distance...
What could it be I vaguely asked myself?

While fixated on this distant object
And trying to remain awake,
A figure became exposed
Just before my very eyes.

The indistinct object soon came into view,
To my surprise it was not an object;
It was my one and only love, you.
Excited and astounded all in the same breath...

And compassion running with impatience,
My arms wide open with a smile so immense
Hugging and kissing, not wanting to let go;
For my affection intended for you is especially true.

In my arms holding you, my bundle of love,
Feeling nothing except pure bliss with love in your presence,
My state of mind is unclear; my heart beating fast.
Don't go yet, please stay here forever.

    This was a nice poem.
    It was serene, the kind of feeling you image you'd feel after finding that one person you're meant to be with.
    Well done to you and you're partner.
    5/5.

    I liked this poem alot. Joe and you are both amazing writers so a collab coming from you two was touching and breath taking. An elegant yet delicate piece which I adored very much. The topic was different for me which I enjoyed. It's good to find original poems these days.

    A nice poem which I give you a 5/5 for. Well done. ~Mel

    A lovely poem and very unique from other poems on this site. I was a little confused that the third stanza seemed to be trying to rhyme but I don't think that was the point of it. Anyways, a nice collaboration, I really admire it! Nice work!
