Evil Paradise

by Beautiful Chaos   Nov 26, 2007

Everything you want for,
Nothing that you need,
Wicked in its beauty,
This world of devil's weed.

Glory in the bloom,
Poison in the seed,
Taste the bitter fruit,
Dying for your greed.

Blue skies seem so pretty,
Oceans seem so blue,
Until the storm rolls in,
And waves are crushing you.

Eden, built like heaven,
Choice had it destroyed,
Think before you act,
Or drift into the void.

I love this piece, the oxymoronic title really grabs your attention at the start. It just reels you right in.

I really like how you gave every aspect of what is defined as "Paradise" a wicked twist. Shows just how silly our preconceptions on Utopia are.

    This is a lovely write.
