Light at the end of the tunnel?

The light at the end of the tunnel,
has once more disappeared,
seems that everything I've been through has got it running scared,
I've tried to tempt it back,
restore hope once again,
but as I catch a glimpse,
I feel the stab of pain,

It seems,
I've got the light at the end of this tun-nel running scared.
