Got to get to sleep
The thoughts in my mind keep me in reality
Or what I think is reality
I need to get to sleep.

The day has ended
So why can't sleep come
Like the ending of a song
Ending with the final rest putting the music to sleep.

Fire in my eyes from the lack of it
I need sleep.

Eternal rest sounds nice
Rest
Complete rest
To quench a thirst I need on my mind.

They say it's all in my mind
They say it'll pass
But they didn't know how long it would last
Without the sleep and rest I so much long for.

I need her
To make me fall asleep
I need her in my arms.

The soft beating sound of her heart
Calming me and letting me drift into sleep
Rest like that no one can beat
Not in a million years.

No one can beat that calmness
Of having the one I love there
In my arms.
