Lady of Grace [Sestina]

by fearose   Nov 27, 2007

Lady so graceful
From the beginning
Every so faithful
Always forgiving
With stories untold
She'll keep them living

The lady found love very graceful
Till the end and from the beginning
And neither man or wife were unfaithful
And they had a birth so forgiving
A tale that was never untold
Sending their daughter into the living

Her daughter wasn't so graceful
And struggled in the beginning
Her love wasn't faithful
And she found herself always forgiving
She left her sorrows untold
For the remainder of her living

The love of the daughter of the graceful
Loved her from the beginning
But he couldn't stay faithful
From the Devil of no forgiving
Who lived in the untold
In the land of those not living

The son from the daughter of the graceful
Had Devil blood in him from the beginning
Because his father was unfaithful
And his mother was too forgiving
He committed acts of the untold
To the dead and to the living

The son found a girl so graceful
And adored her in the beginning
Like father, like son, was unfaithful
But the girl did no forgiving
Her pain was left untold
And she stopped her heart from living

Graceful Beginning
Faithful Forgiving
Untold Living

The ending of this poem was so deep and capturing I love it. So simple yet so effective. The style I like alot, seems difficult. I've never tried this shamefully. But I will do so. You pulled the style off nicely and made it look quite easy. A good piece. ~Mel
