In The Mirror

by Alyssa Lauren LaVelle   Nov 27, 2007

Theres a stranger in the mirror
cloaked in darkness shrouded in fear
born out of discontent
the real me is buried deep inside
underneath the lies, and the false memories
cowering in the corner from inner demons

Theres a girl in the mirror
and alls not what it seems
her past has caught up with her
shes trapped within her dreams
the remembrance of her son her daughter

Theres a child in the mirror
shes so cold and all alone
shes fought her whole life to be free
but shes locked in this house thats not her home

Looking in the mirror
I see that the girl is me...

Theres a stranger in the mirror
whos heart and soul are broken
she slices at her pale wrists
thank god shes finally spoken
cause the stranger in the mirror
has been broken by fists.
