I'm a big girl daddy

by fallenforever   Nov 27, 2007

I'm a big girl daddy,
I can take care of myself,
I'm not a porcelain doll,
To be put up on a shelf,

I can fight my own battles,
I can make it through the day,
I promise I won't get lost,
I can find my own way,

I can bandage my own cuts,
I can walk home all alone,
I'm a big girl daddy,
This you've always known,

If you love me,
Let me be,
I can't live in a cage,
I've got to be free,

Her father finally relented,
And he let her go alone,
To a party she was invited to,
By someone she met over the phone,

This was a mistake,
For which they would both pay,
For on her way home,
Her life was taken away.

I don't even have words to describe it; though I would like to try. It is very good, yet so heart wrecking, it is beautiful.
