SHE DOESNT SMILE

by Tracey777taintedslitta   Nov 27, 2007

A single swing
the school bell rings
the rain clouds rip open
its dark
its cold
she sits alone
she does not smile
swinging back and fourth
tears hidden by the raindrops falling
the wind whispers malevolently
her matted hair covers her pale ghostly pace
so fragile
so hollow
others laugh and play and smile
sicked at the thought she silently screams
misunderstood
she is alone in the crowd
medicated
twisted
barbed
higher and higher she swings
shes lost her control and sanity
throwing away all that was yesterday
driving her young mind into madness
blood cascades down her small wrists
a crimson river flows
she takes her last breath as she falls

she smiles

    So fragile
    so hollow

These two sentences touched me deeply. My heart always goes out to those who are fighting such a tough battle just to hang on. Reality is what you perceive it to be, no more, no less. What we consider to be normal is no more than an agreement. Leeving the ones who do not fit in out in the cold...
Keep up the great work, Tracey.

    Love,

    Ingrid
