The Last Night...

Random calls deep in the night
You walk out to take them
Walking so far from my sight

You walk out the door
Talk in a shallow way
As I lay there, my tears falling to the floor

I know she is the one
the one you have chosen over me
....It kills me
But its obvious with her is where you want to be

Minutes later you come lay by my side
I want to scream and hit you
But I'm afraid this may be the last time

The last time to feel your body next to mine
The last time you pull the covers over me and you
The last time to just hearing your breath too

I roll over to just feel you so close
you wipe my tears
I whisper "I'll always love you the most"

A tear falls down your face
You say "I'm sorry"
And promise me tomorrow you'll be out of this place

Holding me tight
For we both know
This is the last night
