Giving Up On Love

by Beautiful Chaos   Nov 28, 2007

Dream of love, when night blankets the earth, dream,
You shall not touch it, it won't know you,
Scream, bare your soul in light and just scream,
Do not hesitate, whatever you do.

See, open your eyes and truly see,
Lives colliding brutally into lives,
Debris falling on top of debris,
Thrives and although it falters, love thrives.

Closing your heart is like love closing,
Never found again, but in dream, never,
Decomposing soul, souls decomposing,
All lost faith in love, no hope at all.

Time is both friend and foe, in time,
Sublime beauty, found in pain sublime.

Wow, that was a very difficult writing scheme, yet you pulled itr off beautifully. i would never be able to write like that and have it sound so natural, that's for sure.

    excellent work =]

I believe I'm also entered into this contest; upon reading yours I really don't fancy my chances.
This is very nicely written .. I noticed myself when using the Shadow Sonnet style it's extremely hard to write.

I have written a few Elizabethan Sonnets before .. I find it hard to maintain the flow in this style. I think you did a remarkable job of keeping it so smooth.

As always a real pleasure to read.
