Hope of You...

There has been a lot since you.
There has been joy and pain.
There has been love and hate.

But mostly there’s been me.
Not the same me, but a new me.
One who is there, but not.
One who lives, but dies.
The one you gave up for years.
The one who wasn't enough.

So tonight I dream of you.
All we had, all we went through.
But mostly of hope.
Hope to one day be back with you.
Because life without hope is just lost…
