It's been long since I've held this pen
seems as an eternity I left this world of men
been so long since my thoughts have drifted away
since my heart had some things it wanted to say
it's the feeling really, the ones we hide
deep deep down, the dry eyes which somehow cried
theres a strange feeling that fills me
a strange hurt that never kills me
a cold calm which suddenly fulfills me
is my mind a victim of things
or are we but pawns to what fate one day brings
listen closely, there's a storm outside
but it's in my mind my hands are tied
world in the mind
thoughts can be kind
mind in the world
poetic justice, goddess turns girl
at times we forget
sometimes we neglect
funny really, how we always remember to regret.
