Just A Memory

by Sweet Disposition   Nov 28, 2007

Every now and then,
I begin to fall apart
Life just gets too much for me,
And pain enters my heart

I'm seething with frustration,
'Cause I'm throwing away my dream
I need someone supporting me,
But there's no-one on my team

I long for understanding,
And a little affection too
But all you do is lecture me,
Look where it's got you!

Now your clever little girl,
Is turning into such a mess
She can't remember the last time,
That she felt happiness

Forget all of your pride!
Go hold your daughter, tenderly
You'll regret it in a year or so
When I'm just a memory..

so much anger.. yet sadness , as if disapointed.. if im not mistaking.
your lastest poems are all surrounded by the same emotions. amplified by the words that just seem to come out from your heart.

    take care

The ending is like WOW! That was amazing! It's true that sometimes parents can seem like their not on our side, sometimes, unfortunately, their really not, though I've had the blessing of mine always looking out for me. But this piece describes the opposite side of that fence very well! You have a great talent, and it's nice to find a poet with such skill. I look forward to reading and commenting more of your work!
