Realization

I learn from my mistakes
we made plenty of them
but I'm not getting wiser
and see the days break
i think i need that closure
I've been waiting a while for it
they say it will come
i don't think it will
the mistakes I've made
haven't even compared to yours
you're so high off the ground
you need a pedestal
maybe that will get you lower
because you're higher than the birds
but lower than that resilience
that you keep telling everyone you have
thats a good act you put on
i believed it for a while
until the realization crashed over me
thats a mistake that'll haunt you
heres an analogy:
you are to me as she is to you
its makes me see that we are the same
however unfortunate that is
i wish i was she
that would make the analogy
a little easier to fix
life a little happier
mistakes a little less important
i hide really well
i can see you do too
its like a never ending game of hide and seek
except no ones looking for anything
they seem to have found it
i envy those types
awake at night
daydreaming through the day
makes me see the reverse psychology of it all
but you don't mean for it to
i can analyze everything
and still be just as far away
