The sound of the ocean
the rush of the waves
i sit on the shore
in front of the caves

I sit there and ponder
if you're thinking of me too

or maybe just give you a clue

sometimes I'll fall asleep
on the shore dreaming

& it's been over a year now
since I've fallen deeply in love
with your deep green eyes
& a personality I'll never forget

& with the sound of the ocean
it reminds me of your voice
the rush of the waves
reminds me of your strength

when I'm sitting on the shore
i wish you were right beside me
and sitting in front of the caves
that i wouldn't dare explore

but if you explored the caves with me
maybe we'd find some gold
run away together

i must be insane though
