An Angels Farewell

In one single moment
your whole life comes crashing down
trapped,broken,under the rubble
lying helpless on the ground

Your eyes fill with water
wipe away your smile
as the truth is spoken
through the lips of an angel
the truth,indeed,is vile

And the world freezes before you
we stare into the clouds
never thought it would come to this
hearts shattered, without the slightest sound

Memories of the past
breezing through my mind
all the time we spent together
when you cried,i cried

Pictures on the wall
Of me and you,like twins
i thought that nothing
would tear us apart
but I've been punished,for my sins

Just a few miles away
yet it seems so far
three hearts tonight, are bleeding
and a gentle weeping guitar

I wish that i could change this
that wish,left untrue
but all the pain is nothing
when I'd do anything for you

So I'll wipe away your tears

and i know for sure this angel
is my best friend, forever
