He was never there

by theresa   Nov 29, 2007

You were never there to hear my first word.

You were never there to see my first steps.

You were never there when I called out for you.

You were never there to see the pain in my eyes when I saw little girls with their daddy.

You were never there when I learned how to ride a bike.

You were never there when I had nightmares.

You were never there to see my first report card full of good grades.

You were never there for a lot of things and your going to miss out on many more.

Dear dad I only ask why
