Lost love, lost friend

Left my heart out at your feet
trusted you to always keep
my heart in mind and never to
break it because i trusted you

came back, feels like a million times a
l always fell for your candy lies
trusted you with all my heart
hoped we'd never stay apart

promised me it was for real
these feeling that you claimed to feel
but i fell for the lies again
thought you were my lover and my friend

I wanted so badly to be your one
thought of the times we had so much fun
always thought of you in a good light
you were the one to make my world bright

felt so loved when i was with you
like nothing i could ever do
would ever break this thing we had
boy i had it pretty bad

i never took the time to see
how badly you were treating me
i took you back so many times
but now i see all your lies

i miss the good times i must admit
but now i swear im done with it
i don't need you in my life
and i know someday i'll be alright.

    The pain is really evident in this piece. Very well written and it flows well. Good job. I'm sorry you had to experience this but everyone does eventually so at least your not alone, we're all down here with you.
