Love is an inglorious word.
From what I have found,
It brings no justice to human emotion,
For our emotions know no bound.

No word could describe the feeling,
Its almost superfluous to try.
Its a benevolent concept,
Which if I said we had a chance in grasping,
Would be a lie.

There are no explanations,
No one really knows why.
But we confide in this emotion,
We carry it until we die.

If my love for her is blind,
How will our future ever see?
If it is better to have loved and lost,
How can I ever be?

Gandhi once said,
Where there is love, there is life.
But we mustnt forget,
Nor ever remember,
That where there is love, there is strife.

Or, perhaps Thoreau was right,
And there is no remedy for love,
But to love more,
Which puts me in a dilemma.
It sends my heart to war.

However, what I feel now,
Could never be summed into one word.
Nor one emotion.
Rather, one theory.
One philosophy.

Ive never been filled with such joy,
Or even such sorrow.
But I have lived each day with her,
Yearning a tomorrow.

For one more day around her,
One more day I can see her smile.
Because when Im by her side,
It makes this life seem worthwhile.

She has tested the limits of my emotion,
Left me with only a beating heart.
But again, let me just say,
Its more than just love,
Its art...
