I'll Still Love You

by Bryan   Dec 14, 2007

I Still Love You

Happy hearts are not suppose to cry,
But watch as these tears fall from my eyes.

Goodbyes and lies have been my only friends,
And as happy as I try to be it's only pretend.

I still love you, and it's easy for all to see,
How much your love really mattered to me.

I feel broken when I think about what we had
It's times like these I can't help but feel sad.

Started off as friends then it became more,
Took my heart when we danced on that floor.

Driving together holding hands after the game,
And seeing you there doesn't feel the same.

You've gotten the best of me, that much is true,
Even after the pain you've caused I Still Love You.

My fave stanza is the last one.
you're good at ending the poem just right.
I loved the storyline and emotion in this one as well.
