Praying He'll Show Her

by Lyndsay Kalyta   Dec 14, 2007

He kisses her on the cheek
And hugs her before he goes
She can tell she holds his heart
But there's something more she needs to know

She's praying he'll show her
Everything that she can't hear
She's wishing that he understands
He can't just hold her near

She cherishes the moments
But what she needs is something more
She's praying he'll show her
Everything he hasn't before

He holds her hand when they walk
And opens the door to let her in
But these kind gestures
Aren't going to secure him a win

He needs to let go of his manly pride
And surrender his heart to her sometime
She's praying he'll show her
But it looks like another lonely night

It's the things she's least expecting
That she expects him to do
She's praying he'll show her
Everything he feels is true
