A Box Full Of Sharp Objects.

A Box Full Of Sharp Objects.

With a smile on my face I lay me down to sleep,
pray the LORD above your box you shall keep.
For, I've exchanged each memory item,
for something a bit more delighting.

You've got your brand new scissors,
and four fully sharpened pencils,
with some nails thrown about and
a few unknown objects here and there.

You've got your pocket knife -
Oops! I left it open:
and, the label said: " includes;
screwdriver, knife, and sharpened file."

You've got your favorite fork with five prongs,
and a few other different things.
You're in for a treat, my darling lover boy-
just wait for the scream and leave a message:

I've heard my prayer come true tonight,
the second story building surrounded by lights.
A pool full of blood and a few drops of hate -
that's what you get for ditching your date.

Ohhh, wow. Unique hun. I loved how you had my interest from the very start but didn't reveal what this poem was until the very last line. That is priceless. A smoothe flow which held so much deep emotion in each line. I love dark poetry and you have pulled this off nicely. I'm still really stunned at the ending, It was something I wasn't expecting what so ever. This was definitly not a typical cliche poem you grasped onto something really different here. Well done. I love this one very much. Keep writing so I can keep on writing.
