A Charge to Keep

by FELTON PHILLIPS   Dec 14, 2007

Given without stipulation

No cause for tribulation

Or to make one weep

There is a charge to keep.

Accepted without reservation

Not subject to interpretation

Service without doubt

Is what it is about

A charge to keep

A reward to reap

A life at the end

An accounting of sin

Is no reason for despair

A life lived with care

Is a cause to celebrate

He who embodied love not hate
