Love is like a papercut

Like turning a page
in an open book
just a little bit curious
just to take a look

moving a little to fast
or moving a little to slow
and before you know it
you see a spot of red glow

next thing you feel
next thing you know
theres nothing but pain
but you don't let it show

at that moment
your eyes start to swell
covering up the wound
hoping it all ends well

wiping away the blood
the pain is all you feel
but you know that in the end
you will always heal
