Same old girl

by Melanie   Dec 14, 2007

I once knew this girl
Had everything she wanted out of the world
She had the stregnth to wake up everyday
With the biggest smile on her face
She had every reason to want to live
She had every reason to forgive
Lately she began to keep a distance
Thought she didn't need anymore assistance
Not to prove anyone wrong
Just to avoid shareing her secrets that she's kept for so long
She says that the closer they are
Secrets will reveal leading them more far
Her words became more and more cold
Which her friends would hold and never let go
She doesn't want her words to hurt them
It's the last thing she'd wish on them
She hardly ever shows a sensative side
It shows only time to time
Friends say that they hardly know her anymore
That she changed, she's not the girl she was before
She talks about how her world keeps getting darker
That she cant go on any farther
That she's lost living in this world
She wishes she never changed, that she was the same old girl

Nice. By that time.. its just up to the person to say what it is they feel.. requardless of what it will make their friends feel. as long as its the truth, you can look at yourself in the mirror and know you did the right thing. Well done. Keep writing.
