Ill love you forever...a broken promise

"I'll love you forever"
we both said it
i kept my promise
he broke his

so i cry
and he lies
i think of him
he thinks of them

forever never lasts...
forever doesn't exist
he made sure of that

he'll never say it again
not to me, that is,
but still I'll think it

he'll say it to her, but she wont know
that he doesn't keep promises
no matter how sincere he sounds
his promises never last forever

mine do
so when I'm old and gray
ill think of him
and wonder
how many times he made that same

broken promise
