Hit or Miss

I can't keep my hopes high
Because its a waste of my time
And I can't let you see me cry
Because you fed me the same old line

I thought you were better than this
And I even more so
But it turned into a hit or miss
And now we're stuck to this debt we owe

We're both grown up enough
To know much better
But yet still young enough
Not to do much better

But I still cant help but think
That this didn't have to end this way
But yet my hopes still sink
As your memory drifts further away

I still cannot bring myself to let go
And move past this gap in my life
But I cant live knowing you'll never know
How much you have changed my life.
