This Riddle

by Indian Comma Bean   Dec 15, 2007

Sitting here with you next to me,
Cuddling close you say you're chilled,
Your blanket up to your face I see,
You seem so cute when your falling asleep.

Our eyes meet in the middle,
With the TV gently humming,
My mind works hard on this frequent riddle,
The room seems peaceful from the quiet strumming.

Getting closer your arms around me,
Head resting on my chest,
The lights are off and I caress your knee,
Together our hearts beat as you softly rest.

Our hands meet as you hold me tighter,
Our fingers entwine as our hearts combine,
The TV's off but your eyes seem brighter,
This moment between us seems so defined.

We laid there forever,
But time was no issue,
My mind crossed by my hopeless endeavor,
Will I ever solve this riddle?

Sitting here with you next to me,
Cuddling close you say you're chilled,
Your blanket up to your face I see,
You seem so cute when your falling asleep...
