APOLOGIZE

by Mandy   Dec 15, 2007

A smoothly written letter
Made her heart sink
Her tears that drowned the stationary
Melted away the ink.

She put down the awful letter
Because she knew just what it said
The end of her relationship
She'd never forget the words she read.

I found somebody else, it said
This relationship is getting old
Now when she sees him with her
Her heart goes blank and cold.

Now he says he's sorry
SHe turned and met his eyes
Her face got hot but all she said was
It's too late to apologize.
