Sarcastic reminder

by InvisibleHourglass   Dec 16, 2007

A blue and white bulb fills a box.
You open the cover and see the words she wrote,
She told you never to forget this christmas that almost wasn't.
She told you life was as fragile as the bulb.
To never lose sight of how important life is.
That acident.
Where you and her son could have died.
She blamed you.
It wasn't your fault.
You say you don't want to remember.
Remember what?
That bulb,
She may have meant it cruel.
She may have been sarcastic,
But that bulb only serves as a reminder,
to me at least,
of how fragile and precious life is.
The message itself is important,
for once forget about the memories.

A wondeful expression.. is there guilt? Can we forgive, when we know we can't forget? Maybe children is the one reason we must try, if only for the memory.. You have done an excellent job. Well done. x
