I will never hate you.

A piece of my heart will always
be yours. You'll probably only use
it to mop the floors. Really I don't
honestly care because either way,
it won't be fair.

I know I won't ever get that piece of my
heart back, but I don't want it, it'll only
remind me of the person I lack. I know
that you were my first love, and that
you'll be impossible to let go of.

I'm trying so hard to forget about you, and
leave you where you belong. You're
supposed to be in my past, but thinking
that feels oh so wrong. I can't seem to think
of you as only a friend, but I guess I'll have
to hide it and pretend.

I'll tell you that you mean nothing at all. I'll
endure the pain and take the fall. I'll do this
for you so that you don't see, all of the pain
