Nothing Lasts Forever

by Jenna   Dec 18, 2007

Nothing lasts forever,
No matter how hard we try
Eventually the ones we love
Will one day say goodbye

Nothing lasts forever,
For forever is too long,
Too long for love
To hold up and stay strong

Nothing lasts forever
No matter what your friends say
The circle will find its end
The silver friend will not exist someday

Nothing lasts forever
Death always shatters that dream
Eventually someone you love
Will leave you by yourself to cry and scream

Believe me when I tell you,
That what I say is true
For people we love may stay a long while
But in the end they will in someway leave you

Be it the loss of a life
Or a youthful friendship lost in our prime
Maybe even the worn wear of love
Lost through the decades of time

Nothing lasts forever
So make the memories last
For over time many people will leave
But our memories can still leave a friendly reminder of the past
