When You're Gone

by joey matthews   May 12, 2004

Water running thru a narrow edge
dust blows thru the stormy sky
a little bird brings a whisper to you
just for a message that i missed you too

it's hard as i watch the time go by
cause every second that your away
is a second that I've wasted
i can stay in a world where there's hate and hurt
i could only dream for you to bring
something to remember when you're gone

open fields, the gates thats closed
the times we've had, was we happy or sad?
the old feeling of a start that wasn't quite new
these are just some memories i have of you

now if i died with nothing to my name
I'd rather of died and nothing to blame
I'd rather of seen whats been taken in the past
just for chance we could save what we had
but these are just feelings
the thoughts inside my head
it's not really over as i thought it would of
