Erase

I pat the empty covers beside me,
The side of the bed where you should be.
I force back and blink away salty tears,
As I tell myself to please not cry.

Everyday without you is misery,
I miss your soft touch insanely.
I could feel my heart shatter,
As you left my life that day.

The bright lights of Vegas took you away,
I always knew I wouldn't have my way.
Nothing I said could ever change your mind,
It was so easy for you to leave me behind.

Your old pictures just aren't helping,
Very slowly my life is slipping away.
I wonder what you would say to me,
If you saw the pain I'm in today.

Please, enjoy your time in Vegas baby,
Don't worry about poor little o me.
I will do my best to be fine, really,
As soon as I am able to erase you completely.
