I woke up this morning wondering
What did I do last night?
I could not remember no matter how hard I tried
And I cried
I do not know what I did
And it burns
The feeling that I could not have helped
But I wanted to
To help you get away
To run away
To find somewhere to hide
The pain they put you through I can not stand it
And I want so much to reach up
Look them in the eye
And rip their throats out
To let them choke on their own blood
It is just a fantasy though
I could not stand leaving you behind
