His Mask

by Rebecca   Dec 19, 2007

He seems so innocent, so sweet
He is charming and considerate
He lifts her off her own two feet.

His heart is filled with pure love
Sweet and tender words is what he speaks
Like angels whispering to the doves.

But when night falls, he changes his ways
Hate, greed and lust fills up his black heart
Raping her with his eyes, the love decays.

Black eyes peak through a mask like skull
Covered in black with his mesmerizing stare
The light he used to shine begins to dull.

Confusion runs through her mind like a race
He can smell her fear and begins to crave
He senses her lust and loves her taste.

But when dawn approaches the mask fades
The hate turns to love, the lust dissipates
His blue eyes are radiant in every shade.

He frightens her with his rancid mask
She loves him, she loves him not
But caring for him is a difficult task.
