Not aloud

by tami   Dec 20, 2007

I'm not aloud to be me,
They locked me up,
And threw away the key,
I'm not aloud to pray,
Well at least that's what they say,
It never crossed their minds,
That there are people of different kinds,
The one place I felt free,
They took from me,
I'm their minion, their slave,
My interests must be secretive,
I feel like I'm hiding in a cave,
They want me to be their kind of perfect,
To be different, to be me,
I'd be and insect,
I want to be me,
Why can't they see?
I just can't be the way the want me to be,
They hate my poetry,
They feel it's insulting,
I'm not aloud to be me,
They locked me up,
And threw away the key.
