hypocrisy with celebrity
pie, as humanity dies in
buried beliefs and relief
relishes each soccer score.
Unpalletable press is never
tasted as truth is wasted
in atrocity's asides
on sideplates served
as salad accompaniments,
unwanted leaves washed in
political prejudice.
Tunnel vision pinched
in fluent fashion,
facilitating faculties
as feelings fail
to find justification in
suffering's situations...
exploiting emotions with
government bile.
And stars sit atop their
thrones to glow,
finding inner wealth
in overflowing achievements
as solitary they sit in
highlighted slick, as pages
are flicked on
forgotten factions.
Double-edged deceptions
in media menagerie,
tainting tabloid truths
in illogical ideals
as tragedies are ill-defined,
stroked by appetite's loss
and cost is impaled between
society's impassable jaws.
Frontpage futilities,
furnished and refined
frame fundamental fixtures
for closed minds of
right-handed fulfillment...
force-fed individuals
eat entrees without complaint,
in shortsighted strains
of stolen sherry
and dinner is served
in selfish dishes,
overlooking the wishes
of humanitarian's
humble hue.
