Girl out on the corner

I could stand out on the corner,
and speak of love and peace.
Ain't gonna stop no wars,
but somebody might hear me.
And maybe they'll tell someone of the girl out on the corner,
and then run for president.
Maybe by then i'll be old enough to vote to make a difference,
and i'll vote for that someone,
with all their talk of love and peace.
