Friendship

Friendship is not just a meeting of body parts
It's a confluence of two different hearts.
These physical bodies will soon be dead and gone,
But the friendship between the two will long remain.

It's the caring and sharing of each other's thoughts.
It's as much fun as playing darts
It's the resonance that the other heart imparts
It's the comfort one heart gives when the other has broken to parts.

It's the adoring what the other one likes
It's the detesting what the other dislikes.
It's the sharing of that ice-cream cone
It's the talking for hours over the phone.

It's much beyond just a friendship band
It's something that, the test of time, can stand.
It's two different hearts wrapped into one,
It's mutual and sincere right to the bone.

It's a great source of inspiration
It's a pleasant journey without destination.
It's a relationship without duration
It's an admiration without condemnation.

The voices may be different, but they sing in the same tone.
They have to each other, their hearts shown.
The path may not always be rosy, it has its patches
But their outlook almost always matches.

Such a friendship should never end, for it hurts like hell
As if someone has broken the heart's outside shell.
So, when you find such friends around, wish them well
That they should not be affected by any evil spell.

For this kind of friendship, my heart craves
It seems harder to find here than in the graves!
The chances are, perhaps, one in a million
Or may be even feebler, one in a billion?

But a fantasy is a fantasy
And reality is the reality, take it easy
Never confuse a fantasy for the reality,
It would result in a real calamity!

If you haven't found such a friend, never mind,
In any case, such a good friend is not so easy to find.
What if this life doesn't give you such a friend?
There's always the next life, it's never THE END.
