Big Girls Don't Cry 2

by SweetlyBroken16   Dec 22, 2007

Through the bruises and broken bones,
You don't shed a tear, you stay strong.
Hoping for love and comfort but knowing none,
Reaching for forgiveness when there is none.
Yet the one you thought loves you only tares you down.
Still you keep thinking, Big Girls Don't Cry.

You take what is given to you with a smile,
While deep inside you are crying out loud.
Knowing there has to be more than this,
But thinking you aren't worth it.
Being told everyday you are good for nothing,
You kept thinking, Big Girls Don't Cry.

Following the one that leads you away,
From the love and comfort you were showed everyday.
To know what they are doing to you is wrong,
But you take it till there is nothing left.
You are worried, and fear for your life.
But still you keep thinking, Big Girls Don't Cry.

You think this is all life has to offer.
You feel like just giving up on all hope.
Life will never get better, your body will never fully heal.
Your mind is giving up on you.
And you still think to yourself, Big Girls Don't Cry.

Know girl that you are loved,
Know there is more to life,
Than pain you endure everyday.
You don't deserve what you take,
So don't think, Big Girls Don't Cry.

You are worthy of more than the bruises and broken bones.
You deserve the love and comfort you have been deprived of.
Hope is a thing you should look forward to.
Shame is something you need not feel anymore.
There is one there that can heal your bruises and broken bones,
So start to think, Big Girls Do Cry.

Search for the one that you have been longing for.
Reach out to the love that can mend a broken heart.
Follow the one that will carry you when you are weary,
And pick you up when you fall.
You are worthy of so much more darlin',
Just Remember,
Big Girls Do Cry.
