Mistakes Shape Us

No1 likes to be decieved
& instead of truths, lies are believed.

Hearts start beating someones name
but in the end only pain and tears came . . .

Schools so shit. . .half failed
Others in jail waiting to get bailed

Boys thinkin their friends got their back
Shit goes down, he gets punched out...;smack.

Girl trusts and has too many friends
Lies. . .rumors...tht shit never ends

Mothers upset. .. losing hope
Daddy ashamed, hangs from a rope

Little girl plays on the street
. . .Car passes by; shes knocked off her feet

Homeless man beggin for change
while the strippers naked dancin on stage

Whatever the case, life is unpredictable
Mistakes shape us. . . there unforgettable.

    I really like your piece..
    it really hit home for me.. im in high school and it sucks.. and the girl part you right on, all it is, is rumors lies and deceite.

    True in some parts. You have an understanding of what you want to write about. Trusting in people can be hard. Sometimes we trust the wrong people, but I think that doesn't mean you should not be open to new people. There are a lot of people who make that mistake.
    I like the ending verses, they really finished up the poem well.
    Liked it a lot.
