Such fury, such rage
Held captive, kept caged
Deep, down on the inside
It courses through my blood
My veins
Never letting go of all my pain
Oh its alive and its real
This monster I can never reveal
Its twisted around my very soul
Im fighting to keep it under control
Animosity, hate
Has grasped my fate
I have begun to unwind
Fear is rapidly overtaking my mind

That me and my sanity are held captive, kept caged

Screaming for release
Begging for this war to cease

My control is slipping
While this sickness is gripping
Me from the inside out
Darkness is swirling all about
Telling me to lay down and close my eyes
And how easy it would be to die
So weak, so tired barely able to breath
Bound to this disease
That will never ease
Yet a sound so quiet so small
Amplified, quieting it all
Speaking to my heart
Speaking to my mind
Telling me to get up and open my eyes
Suddenly I realize the truth within the lie
No, the rage and fury wont leave
Hate and animosity wont ease
No, this disease wont ever slow
and the only way out is to let go
Not to let go of my life
But the unforgiveness that has caused this strife
Ive buried intense hurt, incredible pain
Ive let it loose, ive let grow
It led me to an insanity no one will ever know
But once I let it go, once I set it free
