The sun kissed a window-
you told me when your eyes
traced my form, the clarity
came much later the day
we walked together in the
rain, changing circumstance.
You said the light traveled
for so long, it needed
acknowledgment. It was everywhere,
clear, we felt it like warmth
we tasted in the air, but it
was searching.
So you brought me to a window,
dead of night, and we stared
through the spheres of our soul
as the pupil inside dilated. You
absorbed me, taking me in the
dark, a secret caress, as I felt
the outline of lips cupping
my eyes till dawn.
