Killer Colors

by Lady Nik   Dec 23, 2007

One hundred
Navy blue
Hearts..
Too many lost
In the dead
Of the dark.

Vast amounts
Of crimson
Tears.
Not enough
Fighting
Their fears.

One hundred
Dark purple
Lies.
Too many
Forgotten
And left behind.

Vast amounts
Of orange
Dreams.
Not enough
Who
Still believe.

Two million
Golden
Scars.
Too many
Who can't
Escape harm.

Infinite amounts
Of silver
Screams.
Too many
Have come
From me.

Two million
Bright green
From envy.
Too many
Have become
My enemies.

Infinite amounts
Of gray
Sunsets
Too much
Pain
For me to forget.

This was wonderfully written, and an even inspirational work. I love how you incorporated colors into your work, and thus explored all the different sides and all the different emotions you feel.

The words were wonderfully placed with a perfect flow and rhyme. 5/5
