Could It Be any Harder

by PygmyPuff   Dec 24, 2007

No one's listening
as they call your name
loudly.
The echo returns from silence,
As a slight chill floats
across the silver lake.
They're all different.
and roaming in desperation;
rushing softly from despair.
Could it be any harder
To exhort one's self silence?
Life continues with wild abandonment,
and the night goes quiet.

    I sometimes feel this way at work. This is my favorite line: 'They're all different.
    and roaming in desperation;
    rushing softly from despair.'
